Varun Beverages has raised Rs 3 billion by issuing Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) on private placement basis. The company has raised Rs 3 billion by issue of 1,500 NCDs of Rs 10 lakh each to RBL Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank on a private placement basis. The debenture would be listed on National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 95.61% to 1,978 compared with 22-day average volume of 45,049.
Varun Beverages is one of the largest franchisee in the world (outside US) of carbonated soft drinks (CSDs) and non-carbonated beverages (NCBs) sold under trademarks owned by PepsiCo.
Shares of the company gained Rs 5.75, or 1.46%, to trade at Rs 398.60. The total volume of shares traded was 1,978 at the BSE (10.05 a.m., Tuesday).
