Tata Power has raised Rs 15 billion on private placement basis. The company has allotted unsecured, non-cumulative, redeemable, taxable, listed, rated non-convertible debentures of Rs 15 billion on November 16, 2017, on private placement basis. The tenure of these 15,000 debentures is seven years.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 29.65% to 4,211,325 compared with 22-day average volume of 5,986,563.
Tata Power is India's largest integrated power company with a growing international presence. The company together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities has presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. Fuel Security and Logistics, Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
Shares of the company gained Rs 3.85, or 4.69%, to trade at Rs 85.90. The total volume of shares traded was 167,367 at the BSE (9.43 a.m., Friday).
