Skipper secures Rs 4.05 bn new orders

Skipper has secured contracts worth Rs 4.05 billion approx for supply of Transmission Towers to the projects of Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), Transmission Corporation of Telengana (TSTRANSCO) and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttrakhand  (PTCUL).  

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 14.64% to 103,383 compared with 22-day average volume of 90,177.

Skipper is engaged in structural fabrication and manufacturing of mild steel and galvanized iron pipes, steel tubular poles, scaffolding and accessories and PVC pipes. Structural fabrication is the major contributor to the revenue of the company.

Shares of the company gained Rs 11.60, or 7.19%, to trade at Rs 174.00. The total volume of shares traded was 103,383 at the BSE (10.20 a.m., Friday).
