Maruti Suzuki India, India's leading passenger vehicle manufacturer, reported 0.2 per cent increase in total sales at 146,766 units in October against 146,446 units in the year-ago month.
The company said, ''Domestic sales stood at 138,100 units, up 1.5 per cent from 136,000 units in October last year.''
The company's exports were down 17.0 per cent to 8,666 units as compared with 10,446 units in the same period last year.
Shares of the company gained Rs 70.6, or 1.07%, to trade at Rs 6,679.55. The total volume of shares traded was 29,141 at the BSE (10.19 a.m., Thursday).
