Pharma Major Lupin announced the launch of its Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen Tablets USP, 5 mg/325 mg, 7.5 mg/325 mg and 10 mg/325 mg having received an approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) earlier.

Lupin's Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen Tablets USP, 5 mg/325 mg, 7.5 mg/325 mg and 10 mg/325 mg are the AA rated generic equivalent of Allergan Sales LLC's Norco Tablets 5 mg/325 mg, 7.5 mg/325 mg and 10 mg/325 mg. It is indicated for the relief of moderate to moderately severe pain.

Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen tablets USP, 5 mg/325 mg, 7.5 mg/325 mg and 10 mg/325 mg had annual sales of approximately USD 710 million (IMS MAT Jun 2017).

Shares of the company gained Rs 20.7, or 1.99%, to trade at Rs 1,060.50. The total volume of shares traded was 133,914 at the BSE (3.42 p.m., Tuesday).
