Hindustan Unilever (HUL), one of the leading FMCG firms, has commenced the commercial production at its new manufacturing unit located at Assam on March 15, 2017.
Last year in July, the company had proposed to make an investment of about Rs 10 billion towards the setting up of a new manufacturing unit in the vicinity of its existing factory premises in Doom Dooma, Assam. The investment was subject to receipt of requisite approvals and clearances. The new unit will augment the production capacity of Personal Care Products for HUL.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 94.63% to 76,389 compared with 22-day average volume of 1,422,075.
Shares of the company declined Rs 0.75, or 0.08%, to trade at Rs 903.05. The total volume of shares traded was 14,198 at the BSE (9.47 a.m., Wednesday).
