GE Power India has been awarded a contract worth approximately Rs 8.18 billion (i.e. approximately USD 126 million) by Navayuga Engineering Company to Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 12 Nos., 80 MW capacity Vertical full Kaplan Turbine generator units along with all associated auxiliary and ancillary equipment.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Jan. 10, 2018, rising 26.62% compared with the Sensex's 3.56% rise. It outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 32.95% as against 7.86% rise in the Sensex.
Shares of the company gained Rs 55.05, or 6.46%, to trade at Rs 907.10 at the BSE (10.20 a.m., Thursday).
