Gayatri Projects (GPL), an infrastructure company, has secured a Rs 13.63 billion irrigation contract in joint venture with RNS Infrastructure (RNS) and Sadguru Infratech Private (SIPL)from Executive Engineer, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama.
The project entails the execution of a lift irrigation system to provide irrigation for an area of 27,462 Hectares. The contract also involves operations and maintenance of the system for 5 years after commissioning.
The contract is for design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Lift Irrigation system (Head Works consisting of Intake canal, Jack well cum pump house, power supply, Rising Main and Delivery system including aqueducts for providing Irrigation facility for 27,462.00 Ha including Operation and Maintenance for a period of 5 years after successful commissioning on Lump Sum Turn-Key Basis for Basaveshwara (Kempwad) Lift Irrigation Scheme in Athani Taluka, Belagavi District, Karnataka.
Shares of the company gained Rs 2.2, or 1.59%, to trade at Rs 140.95. The total volume of shares traded was 46,482 at the BSE (12.17 p.m., Wednesday).
