The international crude oil price of Indian basket declined 3.98% to USD 50.63 a barrel (bbl) on May 26, 2017 as against USD 52.73 a bbl on May 25, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket decreased to Rs 3,270.72 a bbl on May 26, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,401.49 a bbl on May 25, 2017.

Rupee closed weaker at Rs. 64.59 per USD on May 26, 2017 as against Rs. 64.51 per USD on May 25, 2017.

Local stock markets continued to gain for the third day on Monday. At 12.12 p.m, the Sensex was trading up 67.17 points or 0.22% at 31,095.38 with 15 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 0.90 points or 0.01% at 9,594.20 with 29 components falling.
