Cosmo Films, engaged in the manufacturing of bi-axially oriented polypropylene films (BOPP) and thermal films, reported a rise of 83.66% in consolidated net profit to Rs 527.1 million in the quarter ended September 2020 as against Rs 287 million during the previous quarter ended September 2019.
The company’s total revenue grew 0.70% to Rs 5,597.8 million in the quarter ended September 2020 as against Rs 5,559.1 million during the previous quarter ended September 2019.
Total expenses decline 5.55% to Rs 4,936.8 million in the quarter ended September 2020 as against Rs 5,226.8 million in the same quarter last fiscal.
Cosmo Films EPS has increased to Rs 27.56 in September 2020 from Rs 14.98 in September 2019.
The board of directors of the company has approved the appointment of Rakesh Nangia as an additional director in capacity of non-executive independent director of the company with effect from Nov. 10,2020 to hold office upto the date of the ensuing annual general meeting of the company.
Shares of the company declined Rs 3.35, or 0.75%, to settle at Rs 445.25. The total volume of shares traded was 4,171 at the BSE (Friday).
