Berger Paints India commences production at Nalbari plant

Berger Paints India has commenced commercial production of its paint and putty plant at Nalbari, Assam on March 29, 2017. The plant has a capacity of 6,600 KL/MT per annum of solvent and water based paints and 7,200 MT per annum of putty and distemper.

Berger Paints India is one of the largest paint companies in India with a gross turnover of more than Rs 5,000 crore. It is present in all segments of paint including Decorative, Automotive, Industrial, Protective and Powder Coatings.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.8, or 1.62%, to trade at Rs 238.50. The total volume of shares traded was 38,808 at the BSE (1.24 p.m., Thursday).
