Bajaj Auto, one of the leading 2 and 3 wheeler makers, announced a fall of 2% in sales to 3,30,109 units in April 2016 compared to 3,36,274 units sold in the same period last year.
The company's motorcycle sales increased by 2% to 2,91,898 units from 2,85,791 units sold in April 2015, while commercial vehicle sales down 24% over previous year to 38,211 units.
The company's exports declined 36% to 1,03,976 units in April 2016 from 1,61,598 units sold in April 2015.
Shares of the company declined Rs 20.4, or 0.82%, to trade at Rs 2,464.20. The total volume of shares traded was 4,010 at the BSE (9.41 a.m., Monday).
