Ashoka Buildcon has received Letters of Intent (LoI) worth Rs 9.49 billion for the various projects from North and South Bihar Power Distribution Co.
The company has bagged rural electrification works of Sitamarhi, West Champaran, Munger, Patna and Sasaram districts in Bihar under Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY).
Ashoka Buildcon builds and operates roads and bridges in India on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis. It currently operates one of the highest numbers of toll-based BOT projects in India.
Shares of the company gained Rs 3.5, or 2.39%, to trade at Rs 150.00. The total volume of shares traded was 91,804 at the BSE (12.16 p.m., Wednesday).
