Ahluwalia Contracts bag orders worth Rs 6.76 bn

Ahluwalia Contracts, engaged in construction business, has secured new orders worth Rs 6.76 billion for construction of institutional, residential building, including electrical, plumbing and fire fighting services.

The company bagged new order worth Rs 2.93 billion for construction work for OPD block and other associated for AIIMS Delhi. It has secured order worth Rs 2.04 billion for construction of Mother & Child Block AIIMS Delhi and Rs 1.63 billion for construction of office building income tax department Mumbai and Rs 150 million for construction of commercial building for Kumar Builder.

"In addition, we are currently L1 in project valued approx Rs 3.50 billion and the projects bidder under pipeline is Rs 18 billion.

The total order inflow during the FY 2015-2016 stands at Rs 6.76 billion as on date company’s order book stand at Rs 41.46 billion (approx.)," the company said.

Shobhit Uppal, DMD the company said, "Due to robust order inflow from government sector, the govt. Order book proportion stands at 65% as on date against 32% as on Mar. 31, 2014."

Shares of the company gained Rs 5.4, or 2.18%, to trade at Rs 253.10. The total volume of shares traded was 50,293 at the BSE (11.09 a.m., Friday).
