US stock markets closed higher on Thursday, as a post-election rally continued following a key monetary policy announcement from the European Central Bank.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 65.19 points or 0.33 percent to settle at 19,614.81. NASDAQ 100 index gained 7.25 points or 0.15 percent to close at 4,859.19. The broader S&P 500 index gained 4.84 points or 0.22 percent to end at 2,246.19.
