Indian markets continued to gain for the second day on Friday. At 9.36 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 308.41 points or 0.93% at 33,555.11 with 26 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 94.45 points or 0.92% at 10,346.55 with 44 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (2.49%), HDFC Bank (2.38%), Bajaj Auto (2.38%), Larsen & Toubro (1.95%), Tata Steel (1.42%), and Tata Motors (1.35%).
On the other hand, Asian Paints (0.19%), Tata Consultancy Services (0.06%), and Infosys (0.02%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was positive with 1,278 advances against 282 declines.
I C I C I Bank topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 2,485.39 million. It was followed by Bharti Airtel (Rs. 1,581.34 million), Bharat Financial Inclusion (Rs. 503.52 million) and Page Industries (Rs. 309.77 million).
The volume chart was led by I C I C I Bank with trades of over 8.08 million shares. It was followed by Bharti Airtel (3.01 million), B C L Industries and Infrastructures (2.06 million) and 3i Infotech (2.05 million).
