Indian equities bounced back on Friday snapping earlier losses. At 9.37 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 192.04 points or 0.54% at 35,504.17 with 19 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 44.75 points or 0.42% at 10,645.90 with 32 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Bajaj Auto (1.32%), Kotak Mahindra Bank (1.21%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.14%), and Maruti Suzuki India (1.11%).
On the other hand, Wipro (1.90%), Tata Steel (0.54%), Axis Bank (0.42%), Coal India (0.42%), Tata Motors (0.28%), and State Bank Of India (0.25%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was positive with 778 advances against 446 declines.
Kotak Mahindra Bank topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 166.58 million. It was followed by Tata Steel (Rs. 49.70 million), Tata Motors (Rs. 40.88 million) and Reliance Industries (Rs. 33.04 million).
The volume chart was led by Tata Motors with trades of over 0.25 million shares. It was followed by Steel Authority Of India (0.22 million), Arvind (0.18 million) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (0.15 million).
