Indian equities gained on Monday.  At 10.29 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 299.19 points or 0.82% at 36,970.62. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 101.70 points or 0.92% at 11,137.10.

Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Coal India (3.20%), State Bank Of India (2.22%), Bharti Airtel (2.09%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (1.90%) and Hero Motocorp (1.80%).

On the other hand, Indusind Bank (0.47%), Tata Consultancy Services (0.45%) and Infosys (0.02%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
