Indian equities continued to rally for the fifth day on Monday. At 9.41 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 210.84 points or 0.59% at 36,173.77 with 23 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 50.00 points or 0.46% at 10,855.45 with 35 components gaining.

Major gainers in the 30-share index were Power Grid Corporation Of India (4.15%), NTPC (2.61%), Tata Motors (2.31%), Coal India (1.60%), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (1.60%), and ICICI Bank (1.58%).

On the other hand, Infosys (0.72%), Asian Paints (0.58%), Bharti Airtel (0.56%), Hero Motocorp (0.55%), Kotak Mahindra Bank (0.49%), and Tata Consultancy Services (0.08%) were the major losers in the Sensex.

Market breadth was positive with 808 advances against 464 declines.
