Indian equities bounced back on Monday snapping earlier losses. The Nifty was trading near 1-month low. At 9.41 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 36.56 points or 0.11% at 32,869.50 with 14 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 1.15 points or 0.01% at 10,120.65 with 29 components falling.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Tata Motors (2.22%), Infosys (2.03%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (1.81%), Tata Steel (1.18%), Dr Reddy'S Laboratories (0.93%), and Bharti Airtel (0.85%).
On the other hand, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (1.52%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.13%), Wipro (1.02%), Tata Consultancy Services (0.89%), Coal India (0.64%), and Asian Paints (0.62%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was negative with 756 advances against 926 declines.
Indusind Bank topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 259.39 million. It was followed by Vakrangee (Rs. 137.24 million), Infosys (Rs. 97.74 million) and Adani Enterprises (Rs. 76.79 million).
The volume chart was led by Lycos Internet with trades of over 3.08 million shares. It was followed by Visagar Polytex (2.21 million), Urja Global (0.88 million) and Setco Automotive (0.73 million).
