Indian equities traded lower on Monday. At 9.58 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 204.30 points or 0.57% at 35,604.65. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 69.95 points or 0.65% at 10,654.45.

Major losers in the 30-share index were Yes Bank (2.35%), HCL Technologies (1.76%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.72%), Hindustan Unilever (1.72%), Tata Consultancy Services  (1.71%) and Asian Paint (1.61%).

On the other hand, NTPC (1.14%), Tata Steel (1.12%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.85%), State Bank Of India (0.63%) and ITC (0.50%) were the major gainers in the Sensex.
