Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the equity segment worth Rs 3.12 billion on both BSE, NSE and MCX-SX on June 20, as per provisional data available at the BSE. They bought equities worth Rs 42.96 billion and sold equities worth Rs 46.09 billion.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors (DIIs), which include banks, DFIs, insurance and MFs, were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 4.77 billion. They bought equities worth Rs 25.80 billion and sold equities worth Rs 21.03 billion.
Local stock markets ended flat on Tuesday erasing earlier gains. At the close, the 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex ended flat with a decline of 14.04 points or 0.04% at 31,297.53, 16 components registering drop. while the broad based NSE Nifty closed flat with a decline of 4.05 points or 0.04%, at 9,653.50 with 31 components registering drop.
