Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 1.92 billion on both BSE, NSE and MCX-SX on June 22, as per provisional data available at the BSE. They bought equities worth Rs 63.72 billion and sold equities worth Rs 61.79 billion.
Similarly, domestic institutional investors (DIIs), which include banks, DFIs, insurance and MFs, were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 4.55 billion. They bought equities worth Rs 34.49 billion and sold equities worth Rs 29.94 billion.
Local stock markets ended flat on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At the close, the 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex ended flat with a rise of 7.10 points or 0.02% at 31,290.74, 10 components posting rise. while the broad based NSE Nifty closed flat with a decline of 3.60 points or 0.04%, at 9,630 with 32 components posting drop.
