Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 2.11 billion on both BSE, NSE and MCX-SX on May 21, as per provisional data available at the BSE. They bought equities worth Rs 62.79 billion and sold equities worth Rs 60.67 billion.
Meanwhile domestic institutional investors (DIIs), which include banks, DFIs, insurance and MFs, were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 2.37 billion. They bought equities worth Rs 17.76 billion and sold equities worth Rs 15.39 billion.
