European stock markets are trading mixed on Tuesday, as investors fail to find any clear impetus at the beginning of the second quarter of 2017.
UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 32.21 points or 0.44 percent to trade at 7,314.90. French benchmark index CAC 40 went up 3.46 points or 0.07 percent to trade at 5,089.37.
On the other hand, Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 0.14 points to trade at 3,472.80. Germany's benchmark index DAX declined 17.09 points or 0.14 percent to trade at 12,240.11.
On Monday, European stock markets settled lower. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 27.99 points or 0.8 percent to settle at 3,472.94. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 lost 40.23 points or 0.55 percent to close at 7,282.69.
