European stock markets are trading mixed on Tuesday for a second consecutive session as political concerns linked to elections in France and Italy continues to weigh on sentiment.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 0.87 points or 0.03 percent to trade at 3,237.44. French benchmark index CAC 40 fell 0.88 points or 0.02 percent to trade at 4,777.20.
On the other hand, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 rose 37.23 points or 0.52 percent to trade at 7,209.38. Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 16.53 points or 0.14 percent to trade at 11,526.37.
On Monday, European stock markets closed lower. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 34.80 points or 1.06 percent to settle at 3,238.31. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 declined 16.15 points or 0.22 percent to close at 7,172.15.
