European stock markets are trading mixed on Thursday, as investors awaited a fresh batch of corporate earnings, as well as the Bank of England's policy decision and a speech by European Central Bank President Mario Draghi.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 lost 5.03 points or 0.15 percent to trade at 3,253.89. Germany's benchmark index DAX fell 24.60 points or 0.21 percent to trade at 11,634.90.
On the other hand, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 10.79 points or 0.15 percent to trade at 7,118.44. French benchmark index CAC 40 rose 2.42 points or 0.05 percent to trade at 4,797.00.
On Wednesday, European stock markets closed higher. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 went up 28.24 points or 0.87 percent to settle at 3,258.92. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 rose 8.50 points or 0.12 percent to close at 7,107.65.
