European stock markets are trading lower on Tuesday amid a week of political risk that is set to provide a stern test to the global equity rally.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 declined 16.58 points or 0.5 percent to trade at 3,277.95. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 declined 21.68 points or 0.3 percent to trade at 7,305.45.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX fell 73.97 points or 0.64 percent to trade at 11,480.74. French benchmark index CAC 40 fell 28.46 points or 0.58 percent to trade at 4,853.72.
On Monday, European stock markets settled lower. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 lost 29.81 points or 0.9 percent to settle at 3,294.53. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 fell 10.68 points or 0.15 percent to close at 7,327.13.
