European stock markets are trading lower on Tuesday after it was confirmed that Donald Trump is the next president of the United States.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 lost 33.47 points or 1.11 percent to trade at 2,989.96. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 lost 17.15 points or 0.25 percent to trade at 6,825.98.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX fell 94.00 points or 0.9 percent to trade at 10,388.32. French benchmark index CAC 40 declined 40.53 points or 0.91 percent to trade at 4,436.36.
On Tuesday, European stock markets closed higher. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 14.15 points or 0.47 percent to settle at 3,023.43. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 rose 36.23 points or 0.53 percent to close at 6,843.13.
