European stocks trade lower on US election uncertainty

European stock markets are trading lower on Wednesday as doubts over the U.S. election outcome intensify.

Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 lost 32.10 points or 1.05 percent to trade at 3,023.15. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 declined 36.91 points or 0.53 percent to trade at 6,880.23.

Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX declined 138.85 points or 1.3 percent to trade at 10,526.16. French benchmark index CAC 40 fell 38.98 points or 0.86 percent to trade at 4,470.28.

On Tuesday, European stock markets settled lower. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 32.10 points or 1.05 percent to settle at 3,023.15. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 lost 37.08 points or 0.53 percent to close at 6,917.14.
