European stock markets are trading lower on Friday, following declines overnight on Wall Street as the closeness of the U.S. elections continues to rattle nerves in the market.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 10.63 points or 0.36 percent to trade at 2,962.86. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 lost 51.31 points or 0.76 percent to trade at 6,739.20.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX declined 45.05 points or 0.43 percent to trade at 10,325.88. French benchmark index CAC 40 declined 13.78 points or 0.31 percent to trade at 4,397.90.
On Thursday, European stock markets closed lower. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 6.68 points or 0.22 percent to settle at 2,973.49. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 declined 54.91 points or 0.8 percent to close at 6,790.51.
