European stock markets are trading higher on Friday as sentiment continued to be buoyed by the upcoming presidency of Donald Trump.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 went up 3.14 points or 0.1 percent to trade at 3,049.73. Germany's benchmark index DAX rose 31.61 points or 0.3 percent to trade at 10,661.73. French benchmark index CAC 40 rose 0.28 points or 0.01 percent to trade at 4,531.23.
On the other hand, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 lost 21.96 points or 0.32 percent to trade at 6,806.02.
On Thursday, European stock markets closed lower. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 declined 9.70 points or 0.32 percent to settle at 3,046.59. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 fell 83.86 points or 1.21 percent to close at 6,827.98.
