European stock markets closed marginally lower on Tuesday, once again dragged down by financials as shares in Deutsche Bank slid on deepening concern about its health after its USD 8.5 billion cash call.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 2.34 points or 0.07 percent to settle at 3,385.12. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 lost 11.13 points or 0.15 percent to close at 7,338.99.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX rose 7.74 points or 0.06 percent to end at 11,966.14. French benchmark index CAC 40 fell 17.19 points or 0.35 percent to end at 4,955.00.
