European stock markets settled lower on Thursday as mounting political uncertainty in the U.S. exacerbated concerns among investors as to whether President Donald Trump would be able to deliver on key pro-growth policies.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 22.61 points or 0.63 percent to end at 3,562.22. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 down to 67.05 points or 0.89 percent to close at 7,436.42.
Germany's benchmark index DAX declined 41.55 points or 0.33 percent to end at 12,590.06. French benchmark index CAC 40 dropped 28.16 points or 0.53 percent to end at 5,289.73.
