European stock markets settled higher on Tuesday, with French shares among the biggest advancers as eurozone economic activity remained at a six-year high.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 18.50 points or 0.52 percent to end at 3,595.03. Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 39.69 points or 0.31 percent to end at 12,659.15. French benchmark index CAC 40 went up 25.28 points or 0.47 percent to end at 5,348.16.
On the other hand, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 dropped to 11.05 points or 0.15 percent to close at 7,485.29.
