European stock markets settled higher on Wednesday as investors responded to yet another raft earnings reports, company statements and comments from policy makers across the continent.
UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 went up 43.03 points or 0.59 percent to close at 7,385.24. Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 8.34 points or 0.07 percent to end at 12,757.46. French benchmark index CAC 40 rose 2.45 points or 0.05 percent to end at 5,400.46.
On the other hand, Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 3.34 points or 0.09 percent to settle at 3,645.74.
