European stock markets settled higher on Thursday as investors continued to monitor developments surrounding U.S. President Donald Trump's pro-growth agenda.

Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 went up 31.48 points or 0.92 percent to settle at 3,452.18. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 rose 15.99 points or 0.22 percent to close at 7,340.71.

Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 135.56 points or 1.14 percent to end at 12,039.68. French benchmark index CAC 40 rose 38.06 points or 0.76 percent to end at 5,032.76.
