European stock markets closed higher on Friday, managing to hang on to their strongest levels in more than a year as investors turned to a Group of 20 gathering after a hefty week of political and financial events.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 gained 8.45 points or 0.25 percent to settle at 3,448.41. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 9.01 points or 0.12 percent to close at 7,424.96.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 12.06 points or 0.1 percent to end at 12,095.24. French benchmark index CAC 40 gained 15.86 points or 0.32 percent to end at 5,029.24.
