European stock markets settled higher on Thursday, with traders taking a cautious approach as they digested minutes from the U.S. Federal Reserve's December meeting.
UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 5.57 points or 0.08 percent to close at 7,195.31. Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 0.63 points or 0.01 percent to end at 11,584.94. French benchmark index CAC 40 rose 1.24 points or 0.03 percent to end at 4,900.64.
On the other hand, Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 declined 1.05 points or 0.03 percent to settle at 3,316.47.
