European stock markets settled higher on Tuesday as investors focused on the upcoming meeting of the Federal Reserve and digested better-than-expected data out from China.
Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 went up 37.60 points or 1.18 percent to settle at 3,236.71. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 gained 78.15 points or 1.13 percent to close at 6,968.57.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 94.44 points or 0.84 percent to end at 11,284.65. French benchmark index CAC 40 went up 43.10 points or 0.91 percent to end at 4,803.87.
