Asian stock markets are trading mixed on Thursday, taking their cues from a lacklustre day on Wall Street as investors locked in gains in thin trade ahead of the upcoming holidays.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 fell 60.44 points or 0.31 percent to trade at 19,384.05. Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 123.72 points or 0.57 percent to trade at 21,686.08. Taiwan's TAIEX declined 54.58 points or 0.59 percent to trade at 9,149.68.
On the other hand, China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite gained 1.21 points or 0.04 percent to trade at 3,138.64. Singapore's Straits Times lost 10.61 points or 0.37 percent to trade at 2,891.09. South Korea's KOSPI gained 0.49 points or 0.02 percent to trade at 2,038.45.
