Asian stock markets are trading mixed on Tuesday after Chinese manufacturing gauges climbed to two-year highs, adding to evidence of improvement in the region's biggest economy.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 declined 31.50 points or 0.18 percent to trade at 17,393.52. South Korea's KOSPI lost 3.52 points or 0.18 percent to trade at 2,004.67. Taiwan's TAIEX fell 12.23 points or 0.13 percent to trade at 9,277.89.
On the other hand, China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite gained 8.88 points or 0.29 percent to trade at 3,109.38. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 258.77 points or 1.13 percent to trade at 23,193.31. Singapore's Straits Times rose 16.16 points or 0.57 percent to trade at 2,830.03.
