Asian stock markets are trading lower on Thursday after minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest meeting were deemed dovish enough to send the yen climbing.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 declined 77.54 points or 0.4 percent to trade at 19,302.33. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite declined 6.86 points or 0.21 percent to trade at 3,254.36.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 132.08 points or 0.55 percent to trade at 24,069.88. Singapore's Straits Times lost 6.33 points or 0.2 percent to trade at 3,115.87. South Korea's KOSPI fell 1.17 points or 0.06 percent to trade at 2,105.44.
On the other hand, Taiwan's TAIEX rose 15.69 points or 0.16 percent to trade at 9,794.47.
