Asian stock markets are trading lower on Friday. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite declined 12.43 points or 0.39 percent to trade at 3,146.73. Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 124.38 points or 0.54 percent to trade at 23,060.14.

Singapore's Straits Times lost 8.16 points or 0.27 percent to trade at 3,035.92. South Korea's KOSPI fell 1.08 points or 0.05 percent to trade at 2,069.93.

On the other hand, Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 rose 11.16 points or 0.06 percent to trade at 18,925.74. Taiwan's TAIEX rose 26.40 points or 0.28 percent to trade at 9,455.37.
