Asian stock markets are trading lower on Friday as Wall Street took a breather from its relentless rise since the U.S. election, while the dollar hovered below its 14-year high set earlier this week.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 declined 16.82 points or 0.09 percent to trade at 19,427.67. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite declined 15.31 points or 0.49 percent to trade at 3,124.25.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 116.28 points or 0.54 percent to trade at 21,519.92. Singapore's Straits Times declined 10.17 points or 0.35 percent to trade at 2,871.87.
On the other hand, South Korea's KOSPI gained 0.11 points or 0.01 percent to trade at 2,035.84. Taiwan's TAIEX rose 1.12 points or 0.01 percent to trade at 9,119.87.
