Asian stock markets are trading higher on Friday, set for its best week since September, while the dollar continued the slide that began after the Federal Reserve indicated it was unlikely to speed up monetary tightening.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 13.98 points or 0.06 percent to trade at 24,302.26. Singapore's Straits Times gained 5.82 points or 0.18 percent to trade at 3,169.34.
South Korea's KOSPI went up 5.12 points or 0.24 percent to trade at 2,155.20. Taiwan's TAIEX rose 10.49 points or 0.11 percent to trade at 9,848.32.
On the other hand, Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 lost 77.39 points or 0.4 percent to trade at 19,512.75. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite declined 1.97 points or 0.06 percent to trade at 3,266.96.
