Asian stock markets are trading higher on Monday as the yen remained under pressure on market expectations for a US interest rate hike next month.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 gained 87.82 points or 0.49 percent to trade at 18,055.23. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite went up 27.89 points or 0.87 percent to trade at 3,220.75.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 106.85 points or 0.48 percent to trade at 22,451.06. Taiwan's TAIEX went up 26.36 points or 0.29 percent to trade at 9,035.15.
On the other hand, Singapore's Straits Times declined 1.92 points or 0.07 percent to trade at 2,836.73. South Korea's KOSPI lost 1.24 points or 0.06 percent to trade at 1,973.34.
