Asian stock markets are trading higher on Friday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 gained 143.17 points or 0.8 percent to trade at 18,005.80. China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite rose 1.53 points or 0.05 percent to trade at 3,209.99.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 85.79 points or 0.39 percent to trade at 22,348.67. Singapore's Straits Times went up 14.89 points or 0.53 percent to trade at 2,828.37.

On the other hand, South Korea's KOSPI lost 7.07 points or 0.36 percent to trade at 1,973.48. Taiwan's TAIEX lost 9.13 points or 0.1 percent to trade at 8,986.13.
