Asian stock markets settled mixed on Monday, with investors reportedly leery of US President Donald Trump’s immigration policies and what else they might portend.
Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 lost 98.55 points or 0.51 percent to settle at 19,368.85. Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 13.39 points or 0.06 percent to end at 23,360.78.
On the other hand, China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite gained 9.61 points or 0.31 percent to close at 3,159.17. Singapore's Straits Times went up 13.07 points or 0.43 percent to end at 3,064.85.
South Korea's KOSPI went up 16.65 points or 0.81 percent to end at 2,083.59. Taiwan's TAIEX rose 23.90 points or 0.25 percent to end at 9,447.95.
