Asian stock markets settled mixed on Tuesday as concerns over an OPEC oil production cut and Italy's constitutional referendum cast a pall on the markets.
China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite rose 5.92 points or 0.18 percent to close at 3,282.92. Singapore's Straits Times rose 4.49 points or 0.16 percent to end at 2,879.14. South Korea's KOSPI went up 0.26 points or 0.01 percent to end at 1,978.39.
On the other hand, Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 fell 49.85 points or 0.27 percent to settle at 18,307.04. Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 93.50 points or 0.41 percent to end at 22,737.07. Taiwan's TAIEX lost 29.86 points or 0.32 percent to end at 9,192.38.
